1. What personally identifiable information do we collect from our users?
We collect personal data when you subscribe to our apps, with the free trial mode, or with a subscription. We also collect information when you download updated contents. This allows you to take advantage of all LearnEnjoy functionalities. Thus, for example, we provide an evaluation tool that allows you to track the progress and results of each child. This function makes necessary for the results to be linked to the child, and consequently that the child is registered.
When you register or leave a message on the LearnEnjoy website, we may ask for your name, gender, date of birth, and e-mail address.
When you create an account by subscribing to our apps through a marketplace (Appstore), we may also ask you to choose a username and password. This allows you to keep track of your user information and your child(ren)’s in-game data such as accuracy and mistakes. You may modify or remove your Personal Information or Children's Personal Information identified below at any time by logging into your account and accessing features to edit your profile and/or account information. Finally, this guarantees that nobody will access your child’s personal data, given it is only available with your username and password. It will only be available to the other iPad users to whom you would have linked your children. You decide if you want to share or restrict the access to your personal data. Children will never be asked to give any personal data.
However you can visit our website anonymously.
We also collect usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors on our Website, and other data about the click rate, that can be linked to the personal data you provided. We may use that information to learn more about our visitors’ use of the Website, to improve the Services and quality, and/or provide customized communications to you.
2. How do we use personal data?
We mainly use the information you provide to prepare personalized progress reports to parents and professionals that include tracking their children performance and progress. Indeed, a single tablet can be shared between various children to play or learn, it is thus important for the user’s profile to be selected to track his personal results.
Consequently, many adults can practice the activities with the child, on one or various tablets. Thus the adult identification is also essential to validate that this adult is authorized to see the child’s data.
Here is another important use of personal data: we may analyze statistical data for internal operations, to enhance our product offer, and provide our customers with an optimal online experience. Thus, knowing our users’ average age will allow us to adapt our activities content. We should address different characters and illustrations to a 4 years-old child than to an 11 years-old child.
Finally, the e-mail address you provide is used for such purposes as answering questions to client requests, sending product updates, and communicating with you about our Company's products and services, including special and new features. When subscriptions come to an end, we also may contact subscribers to offer them to renew their subscription.
3. How do we protect our users’ personal information ?
We follow reasonable and generally accepted industry standards regarding data security, and we maintain reasonable safeguards to attempt to ensure the confidentiality, security and integrity of the information in LearnEnjoy’s possession. Normally, no child can register on our website. However, if a minor (under the age of 18), was trying to register, LearnEnjoy would be committed to search for the parent or guardian to inform him about this demand of contact.
The data (activities and games results) stored by LearnEnjoy only aims at allowing the construction of progress reports through the tracking of the child’s performance on games, assessments and other activities available through the services. In order to allow parents or professionals who work with the child to personalize the teaching program, there will be two ways to access the child’s data :
- The referent adult who works with the child has subscribed to a LearnEnjoy app and created the child’s profile into the system
- Another adult has subscribed to a LearnEnjoy app and has been “linked” to the child by the referent adult; Only the referent adult can share the child results with other apps subscribers
All the links between adult subscribers and children are easily identifiable through the app. (see the welcome page, “admin” section)
For children with autism, tracking results in an individual manner is a key asset to enhance the child’s progress.
